Glued to the "tube"

I LOVE watching the Olympics. I find my self in awe of what these athletes can do, they are so inspiring (apparently not enough though). At night I look back on my day and count the hours I logged watching the Olympics & it makes me feel like a slug! I have resided my self to the sport of "tube watching" during these next couple of weeks during the Olympics. I am hoping some of you feel the same way & are living vicariously through these phenomenal athletes....like I am.

Amy we have all been glued to the t.v. at the lake also. Good thing the weather has been colder. Your not the only crazy one watching the olympics.

amy i can't get enough of the olympics either!! i cry at every final swimming event... just thinking of all the training they have done for their WHOLE lives, and this is the culmination of all their hopes and dreams... i was telling this to my girls and all teary-eyed and cry-y at the opening ceremonies, they thought it was nuts, but they always have to see me cry at this kind of stuff! i love the olympics!!!! :) my dream was always to be a swimmer in the olympics... that's what i always wished on dandelions for :) i asked mac the other night if he thought it was too late for me :)) (yes, probably!) emily

I'm SO with you! You should NOT be ashamed of your addiction to watching the Olympics. It is an endurance sport...and I am the captain!!! :)

Believe it or not I am NOT a sports nut at all but maybe because we were in Beijing last year I am interested more this year. It is so fun knowing we saw the birds nest being built and other sites being shown on t.v. I have really enjoyed the swimming and gymnastics and last night I saw Mark Phelps being interviewed with his Mom and I am so very impressed. You all may know this but his mom is a single mom and a school principal who has to get back to work this week. They are such humble people and he said that it was because of his mom's passion for what she does that helped he and his sisters pursue theirs and he couldn't have done it without her. Nice, nice people and I am so happy for them!
