Lion's Head Rock Slides

We decided to hike to the rock slides at Lion's Head. It was about an hour drive north from our cabin, then about another hour plus hike. I hadn't been there in years & had forgotten how far the hike was (especially with 2 little ones) and how much it was worth it in the end.
Along the way.

We stopped here for lunch & the older kids ran around & jumped in all the pools. What a beautiful spot.

Well here's to our little 4 year old who has been in our lives only a year and a half. What an impression he has made on us. Can't imagine our lives without him & we feel so lucky to have him. Hudson is: sweet, a caring & loving big brother, a constant questioner, his favorite word is "why", always willing to try new things, amazes us with all accomplishes, a protector, smart, a loud talker, funny, energetic, a movie fanatic, and the best son we could ask for. We have watched him grow & change so much in this past year and a half, and look forward to what the future has in store for our little boy.

"I'm your huckleberry"

This has been a great huckleberry picking season up at the lake. We have taken the kids out for some picking & probably more eating. We hiked to Hunt Creek Falls, then picked & ate our way back to "Old Blue" for a picnic lunch. The huckleberries are so delicious & plentiful. So much fun, reminds me of picking up here when I was little with my grandparents. I love the lake!
