Happy 2nd "Gothcha" Day Hudson!


Hudson's "gotcha" day. March 10th, 2008!


We were in Wuhan, Hubei China two years ago on March 10th meeting Wu Mo Wen/Hudson LeRoy Wen Byrd! He was 2 1/2 years old, happy, playful, entertaining & full of energy! It's hard to imagine what life might be like without someone. Well it's hard for us to remember what life was like before we had Hudson. We feel as though we have been a family of 4 much longer than 2 short years. Children are such a blessing & we are so thankful he is our son.
Here are a few words that describe him: loving, honest, happy, caring, the best big brother, smart, protector, helpful, planner (he's like our own little Franklin Covey....always wants to know what's next on the agenda), handsome, sensitive, and adventuresome. We couldn't love him more!

Every time we are back in Spokane our time seems to be jam packed, since we no longer live there. I'm not complaining though, as you can see from the pictures we did get a little down time in. We had a fun Byrd wedding & got to spend time with family & friends.

Oh Mexico!


Stephan & I got to spend a fabulous week on Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! My parents offered to watch Hudson & Ravenna & that was all we needed....it was a wonderful & relaxing time!
We rented a car & headed up the coast to Todos Santos for a day. We stopped by the "Hotel California"...yep the one from the Eagles song!


This was a must for me everyday! Chips, salsa & guacamole....my favorite & they have the best guac & salsa in Mexico...really they do!

We had to say goodbye to paradise, but were thrilled to get home to our kiddos! Thank you to my parents for taking such great care of our most prized possessions while we were away!
